We are living in the world of knowledge and information, therefore mankind being created in the image of God needs both knowledge and technology. Refusing knowledge means closing yourself to anything new and discipline. The foundation of knowledge starts by fearing God, accepting his power and obeying the word.
It is not easy to do evangelism in North- Eastern of Kenya, because any approach whether through dialogue or assistance is always taken with suspicion. The land board in the region cannot allocate any land to the Church nor land Lords cannot rent their plots for Christian worship, neither can the local’s sale land to built the church.
However to purchase a land to build Education institution nowadays has been taken positively though with strings attached. The move by GMA to start mission schools has gradually reached a point whereby both the locals and Christians can now learn, eat, talk and share things in common that affect them as community, such like disease, drought, lack of water, food etc.
Due to this new divine opportunity, GMA has now begun four primary schools.Due to this new divine opportunity, GMA has now begun four primary schools. A.C.K St. Peter’s primary school which has class 1-8 with a population of 266 pupils, A.C.K St. John’s has class1-5 No of pupils 85, A.CK St. Stephen’s having class 1-3 number of pupils are 104 and St. Luke’s Habaswen class 1 with 5 pupils, all the four schools have nursery classes.
Some of the encouraging good news in our schools is the standard of discipline; this has mostly attracted the parents to bring their children to our schools.
The performance is another factor that has contributed to the trust in Garissa Mission schools, for example Last year 2014 A.C.K St. Peters primary was leading in Garissa County with the last candidate scoring 323 points. This is a very powerful weapon of evangelism in North-Eastern. St. Peters has been able to buy a new bus for transporting the pupils. Through this method of evangelism using the school system, the Church has created several employments to both the locals and people across the country of Kenya.
By the grace of God GMA has entered into partnership with sports Friend, a ministry of SIM whose mission is to equip churches in Africa, Asia, and South America to make disciples of Youth, their families and communities through strategic sports ministry. The ministry has employed one of our youth who is working as a coordinator and Education secretary.
