The 1st Anniversary Of The Episcopal Ordination and Installation of The Rt. Rev. Dr. Francis Omondi
Grace and peace be with you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On behalf of the Anglican Diocese of Garissa, I sincerely appreciate your presence at the 1st Anniversary of Our Episcopal Ordination and Installation in the See of Garissa.
We commemorated this milestone with a Thanksgiving and Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, 9 May 2026, celebrating God’s faithfulness and looking ahead to the next phase of our shared mission.
This past year has been both humbling and instructive. Serving a Diocese that covers the counties of Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, and parts of Tana River and Kitui has reaffirmed the resilience of our small Christian community. We live and minister within a predominantly Muslim and economically fragile context, facing recurrent drought, insecurity, poverty, and the pastoral demands of the Dadaab Refugee Complex. Yet, God has sustained His Church. We have strengthened our pastoral presence, deepened interfaith engagement, and invested in training leaders for effective Christian witness.
Your attendance was a great encouragement to the Diocese and a clear demonstration of your love and commitment to support the Church’s work.
We are deeply grateful for the sacrificial generosity extended towards the work in the diocese of Garissa. By the grace of God, we raised a total of Kenya Shillings Three Million Five Hundred Thousand (KSh 3,500,000), representing half of the amount targeted. This milestone stands as a testament to your commitment and willingness to support the work of the Church.
We are touched and further heartened by the continued spirit of giving, as many are still contributing beyond the event. This ongoing support strengthens our confidence as we trust in God’s provision to realise the remaining balance.
Your faithful partnership enables the Diocese to advance its mission, serve communities, and proclaim the Gospel. We thank you for your prayers, generosity, and steadfast support.

Almighty and everlasting God, we give You thanks for all who gathered in fellowship and for the generosity freely given in support of Your work. We praise You for the resources raised and for the hearts that remain willing to give.
Bless all those who have contributed, O Lord, and replenish them according to Your riches in glory. Grant them good health, peace, and continued provision.
As we look towards meeting the remaining needs, grant us steadfast faith and unity of purpose. Guide us in all that we do, that Your name may be glorified, and Your Kingdom advanced.
